Lott Carey Calling Congregations Project Receives Grant
to support 5 Churches in Washington, DC Area
Lott Carey submitted a grant proposal to The Fund For
Theological Education to support the Lott Carey Calling
Congregations Project. Lott Carey was awarded a $12,000
grant to help churches encourage adolescents to consider
the call to ministry as a viable vocational possibility
for their lives. The Lott Carey Calling Congregation
Cluster of Churches include Mount Moriah Baptist Church,
Washington, DC, Pastor Lucius Dalton; Mount Olive
Baptist Church, Centreville, VA, Pastor Eugene Johnson;
Maple Springs Baptist Church, Pastor Larry Jordan;
Ebenezer Baptist Church, Alexandria, VA, Pastor Duane
Kay; and Vermont Avenue Baptist Church, Washington, DC,
Pastor Cornelius Wheeler.
